7 Days of Halloween: Day 5

 Hello Halloween Hoppers!
Today I have a project that started as as one thing and ended into something else.
"Witches Hat Home Decor"
I got this paper mache cone at the local craft store with the intentions of jazzing it up to be a cornucopia to hang on my door.  BUT after painting it all black I thought it would make a super cool witches hat for the light up skull.

Best yet is that the little embellishment bits were scraps off my desk.  See sometimes it pays to have a messy desk.
Used the loads of beautiful May Arts Ribbon on this one:  1.5 inch Metallic, 1/2 inch Pom-Poms, Velvet Ric Rac, 1/8 inch diagonal stripes and Metallic Wire

I think the skull likes it!
Now to see what the other ladies or spooking up.

Fantastic use of the cone to make a witch's hat! Your skull looks quite happy about it, too - look at that wide smile!

Wow! Your kids (AND likely all their friends) must think that you are the coolest mom around! Creating wickedly fun displays probably has them so wound up already...waiting for Halloween to arrive!

Yes, I'm in awe of your creativity!
Especially love the yellow sproinky things!
