That's right!
Day two of hopping with some amazing ladies for
Now lets get right on to today's post because it's...
As promised, today I bring you a super easy tutorial.
All done in only three steps actually!
Step 1
You need a star.
Die-cut a star from any means you have.
Electric cutter or not it really doesn't matter. You just need one.
Don't even have a die-cutter? No problem! Just cut one out by hand.
Step 2
Score it.
You're going to want to lightly score your star from valley to point. (see below picture).
The black line represents the line that will be used to score.
The white arrows will be where you'll score from - to.
Do this for all valley point pairs = 5 score lines totally.
NOTE: The side that's up will be the back.
(TIP: Start from star's valley and up to point. This makes it so it doesn't bunch)
Step 3
Pinch it.
Turn your star over and pinch the points...just the points.
Crease only half the score line. From the point to the middle of the star.
(It should look like the picture below.)
Now continue around to all five points.
That's it!
You now have a beautiful 3-dimensional star
Some holiday ideas of what to do with them
Make it into an ornament
How to: Just add a hole into one of the tips and add a hook.
Make a garland
(see original post HERE)
How to: Just add one glue dots to the edge of where you would like the stars to lay on the string.
I used a point and valley pair (see the "Y" star and where the string comes in and out) but you could also go point to point. Remember that the string will only touch the edges of the star (because they are 3d) so add the adhesive to the very edges of the star.
These would also look amazing on cards
How to: Just add liquid glue all around the star's edges and lay down on card.
Ready to get the rest of the holiday hop on?
Ready for even more inspiration?
Then check out what the other ladies have for you today...
