Day 7 of 12 - May Arts Christmas tree

It's the holidays and that calls for a tree!
So here's one for yah'

A sleek and modern rope wrapped tree for a modern holiday scape.

Want to make your own? Then it's...

This DIY tree is quick and simple to make and here's what you'll need
A cone shape (in any material)
Strong glue
Awesome rope (check out the May Arts one I used HERE)
This rope is great because it's wired so it holds the shape.

Step 1
Glue it
Start at the top and put down a glob of glue.
I would only go an inch of a ways down at a time.
That way the glue doesn't dry and you don't make a mess.

Step 2
Wrap it
Now just start wrapping your rope tightly around the cone.
Use a small clip like I did here to hold the top in place while you work.

Keep going all the way down and that's it!
You might want to add a clip to the end of your tree while it drys.
I like the way it looks as is but you can decorate it if you wish.
My son said it needed a topper so I just glued a star to the top.
Here's a look at both of them...you decide!
