All pattern paper: imaginisce “Twitterpated”
Cricut:Walk in my garden (leafs, pink flowers) George (all other flowers) Hello kitty font (3) Graphically speaking (flourishes)
Beads: Costco “kid” pack
Sakura Glaze pens: black, pink, yellow
Copic markers: E34, E21, E00

You can't see the background paper too good in the pics but it's a cute little cloud pattern. I wanted to try something new so I beaded out some of them. It took three tries and two papers (I always buy 2 of each pattern & this is why). But I figured out how to stitch beads to cardstock. "Backstitch" I don't know why but it looks so much uniform and just plain better. It didn't take that long (after I figured it out). The clouds aren't straight lines but little dots so I pierced every two dots and then did the backstitching.

As soon as I saw the sketchy Thursday challenges this week I had the idea of pictures in a tree. Still had the Moxi fab tree call in my head. These pictures were perfect for the layout. We actually just took these on Saturday when we took a walk around the neighborhood. Of course I take my camera everywhere.
To a tree work on my page I laid the pictures down on the brown cardstock positioned the way I wanted it to look on the layout but on the other side of the paper. So it was a mirror image of what I really wanted. Then traced around each photo. After I just drew the tree around the traced photos. Next just cut them out, turn it around and there you go. And I take every chance I can to practice with the copics.

ReplyDeleteThe tree is amazing - really great effect :) How much patience must you have for all that beading?
