Day 5 of Valentines projects

Today I'm welcoming all you "Kinda" cooks out there.
You can totally put me in that category.
How I wish I could bake yummy things BUT there is just not that much time.  Between having the life of a mother and my current obsession with paper crafting, I need quick and easy recipes.
That's what I bring to you today folks with this...
I couldn't think up a name so I'm running with this one.  But if you got a name suggestion I would love to hear it.  Leave me a comment.

The recipe

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and gather your needs
One can of crescent rolls
Flour for dusting
A stick of room temperature butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
A hand full of chopped nut and clean fresh berries

2. Mix it
In a bowl mix together your dry ingredients: Brown and granulated sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
In another bowl combine the vanilla and the butter together.

3. Flatten and dress it up
Brake open the crescent rolls and separate them.  Then gently flatten on a lightly floured surface with lightly floured fingers.
Slather the butter on the triangle.  (Yes I said slather it on there)
Then using a spoon sprinkle on the cinnamon mix.
In the middle of the triangle add your nuts and berries

4. Fold it up
Here's how you're going to fold this up into a pocket.
Bring the triangle tip up
Fold over the top flat part of the triangle
Turn the pocket over so that the part you were working on is now on the bottom.
Now fold the two sides inward.  The bottom picture shows one of the sides folded in with the other one waiting to get finished.
It should end up into a cute little ball like this...

5. Bake it and eat it
Bake these at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 - 20 min.
Because the berries will shrink when it is baked, so will the dough.  It will also leak a little bit of juice from the berries.  This is also fine and yummy.
Serve them hot with cold milk for a yummy Valentines breakfast.

That's it for me today.
I know you're used to seeing paper crafts but thought I would switch it up for today.
Let me know any thoughts or additions you have.  If you make this let me know too.  I would love to hear how you liked it...or not!
See what other Valentines goodies the ladies have for you today
