A Tape Trend Trio

Hello my name is Lalo and I'm a craft hoarder.
Yes it's true, I see pretty things people make with cool products then buy them all up only for it to sit on my craft desk getting all dusty.
But not today, I'm making a dent in my "bought but never used" pile by ripping open four packs of "printed paper tape"
It took a challenge to get me on the "use it" wagon.  These three are for

Here's how the cards started.  Just tape on a piece of paper and I got all three cards from this one piece.

What to do with an old broken down dresser?

Leave it to LESSology to inspire us to pick up things on the side of the road and turn them into something pretty.  LESSology challenge #13: Chest of drawers.
Here's what I jumped out of my truck to throw into the back.
Yes I was driving home from picking up my kids from school and they were totally confused and laughing hard at me.  "Mom why are you picking up trash?"  Something I'm used to hearing!
Here it is...dresser drawers
The dresser and most of the drawers where REALLY trash but these two where in good shape.

Didn't know what I was going to do with them at first but here's how they ended up
Into a dressed up chalkboard display

The chalkboard

A holder for you chalk
Notice the swirly thingies?  Originally they were all brown glitter but I thought they didn't match so I painted the edges with white crackle paint...love that stuff!

The display
Wanted a way to display photos but not have it permanent, so I hung twine on tum-tacks and added little clothes pins to them.

Here's a look at it filled with goodies
(If you have any questions or searching for a how-to don't hesitate to e-mail me)

check it
Super fab right.  I would totally rock this and so would my daughter!

Recognize the flower?  It's the clay flower from my shabby chic card.  This time instead of perfect pearls I used Copic markers to color it in.  And the little gold flower gems are also clay.  They're colored with a gold paint pen.

Spring mini organizer

If you're getting older or have kids like me you know the need to write things down.
And being a paper crafter means I can't just carry around post-its right?
So I made a little mini organizer...ok I just wanted to play with my zutter :)
Take a look

All pattern paper and most accents are "My Little Yellow Bicycle"
There are two sections in this mini.  A calender and post-its

I used three pieces of chipboard In the same width.
Two pieces are the same length.  The other is longer as to make a spine and top cover.
To crease the chipboard I very lightly cut where I wanted the fold with a blade runner. Do not cut to hard or when you fold to make the crease the chipboard will brake off

A look at the outside spine

Here's a look at the first page, the calender.
(I know we're almost five months in but hay what can I say)

 And the post-it page
