CFC #25 "just add color"

It's another CAS-ual Fridays card and I can't help but feel like I'll have a "blue Christmas"...

Stamps: Hero Arts, Markers: Copic

I grew up having a blue Christmas tree every year so this card is reminiscent of that.
The challenge was to add color to a stamped image so I cheated a little and heat embossed the image in black first (that way I don't have to worry about coloring out of the lines :)

"love that face!" Po layout

It's been a while since I've done a layout. So I thought it was time to get out my photos and get scrapping.
My Little Shoebox
had a great sketch to work with. It gave me just the right inspiration I needed to get my creative scrapbooking juices flowing again.

So here's a Lo of my daughters silly face peeking out from under her hat and glasses.
She could always pull off wearing hats...me I just look silly in them!

All products on this page is from "My Little Shoebox". (All but the black and white pen that is.) From the glitter letters to the super cute stickers.

I couldn't help but make a card with the super cute new digis in the squiggle store.
Check out the new "Snow Much Fun"

Isn't this digi super cute!
This is how I imagine making a snowman would be...with cute little penguins running around at my feet...hahaha...just joke...can you tell there's no snow in Hawaii.
anyways
This is also for this weeks
Card Pattern:Sketch 138
I flipped the sketch

Market Street Stamps Block Party

BLOCK PARTY! WOOP WOOP!
I'm a Party Lover (hay who isn't) So when I saw that
Market Street Stamps
is celebrating their 1 year anniversary with a block party, I had to join in.

If you don't know...Their stamps are super cool and up for grabs is a super awesome prize so hop on over and check it out!

SOOO What's a party with out an invite and some party favors???
I have no idea, so I got in the celebratory mood and created some just for their anniversary...
They ask for only one project so I'm entering the treat bag BUT I couldn't just stop there So I add extras
All Stamps: Market Street Stamps "Sweet Lace" & "Gone Campin'", Ink: Memento "Rich Cocoa", Brilliance "Rocket Red", ColorBox "Frost White", Floss Janlynn, Burlap: Canvas Corp

Camping is so much fun and I love my "Gone Campin'" set from Market Street Stamps that I decided to run with the theme.
COOL NOTE: Another reason why I love this company is that they sell canvas and burlap sheets...Oh the possibilities.

Here's the invite

Table DecorOkay if there was a virtual camping table this would be on it. It's just a decked-out mini plastic painters can wanting to be a candle. Don't need to worry about burning down the virtual camp site ether...plop a mini battery operated candle in and it's all good.

A sweet party favor
This is the project I'm entering for the call
And since you can't go camping with out making smores I put it all together for you. And since no one eats just one this holds everything you need to make four. There is even a stick to roast your mellows on (in Hawaii we use chopsticks cause it's cheep and always around).
COOL NOTE: Did you know you can buy graham crackers individually wrapped in eight now? Went to the store, saw these, and got excited...I'm a dork, I know

I Know it was a long, pic heavy post today but I hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to stop by the Market Street Stamps blog to check out all the party happenings.

That's a doggy bag?...mini album

This past week
LESSology
challenged us to use a brown paper bag.
And since I'm obsess with these totally awesome brown paper baggies I had to play along.
Some may think I'm over exaggerating my doggy paper bag love but thus is true. They are super cheep (like $3.00 for 50 bags) and you can dress um up as much or as simple as you like for gift giving. I always keep two packs in my stash...one brown and one white.

Ok enough rambling...on to the project
Here is my "Doogy Bag" mini album
(All Pattern Paper: Basic Gray), (Ribbon, Letters, & Brad: American Crafts), (Crackle Paint: Ranger)(Pearls: Hero Arts)

How it looks open

Here's the before and you can see how it's folded

After...All decked out
The best thing about using a bag is it has a built in pocket. Besides whats a bag used for if not to put things in it??? And the other best thing about using the doggy bag is that it fits a 6 inch photo perfectly.
This is another "flashback" scrap project for me. This album is about all the Christmas crafts my kiddos made in 2009. Most of which involved candy!

Tuesday Trigger: Finesse the Dress

For the first time in my crafting history I'm getting started early :)
Yeah me!!!
It's no secret that I'm a procrastinator...big time. So I've been super happy that they're some awesome inspiration out there to get my holiday crafting done!!!

and where's the tops for inspiration???
well the Moxie Fab World of course
Tuesday Trigger: Finesse the Dress
All Stamps: Hero Arts
"Classic Fabric Design", "Magic of Christmas", "All Occasion Messages", Ink: mementos "tuxedo black" & VersaColor "Chateau Gray", Markers: Copic, Ribbon: American Craft

I was totally inspired by the color of this week's Tuesday Trigger. Thought it made the perfect unexpected color combo for a holiday card.
Here's what else I was triggered by... The center point of the design and the filigree.

some TV love

Confession time:
I'm a major "reality" TV junkie (in quotes because I know most of it is fake but I like it anyways). I spend so much time doing mommy stuff that TV is my connection to the outside world...besides all my bloggy friends that is!

So when I saw this Paper Smooches stamp set "Boob Tubes" I had to have it

Stamp set: Paper Smooches, Ink: Memento "tuxedo black" & VersaColor "Chateau Gray", Marker "Y11", Pattern Paper courtesy of my scrap stash :)

The colors, patterns, and sewing on this card was inspired by

a CAS market street stamp card

I'm Painting the town this week!
I've been having such a blast playing with my new "Market Street Stamps" that I thought I should join in their challenge....
Market Street Stamps
October Paint the Town Color Challenge

Clear stamp: Market Street Stamps, Ink: Memento "Rich Cocoa", All pattern Paper: K&Company, Flower Soft "Baby Peach"

I had brought a bunch of this "flower soft" stuff a while back because it was on sale, but I never used it (the life of an impulse buyer). So when I wanted to add a little texture to this clean and simple card, I knew where to look.

Enjoy your Monday and have an awesome week!!!

Tuesday Trigger: Treat Yourself!

I'm treating myself to a little Moxie Fab World today
I was so inspired by this weeks
Moxie Fab World "Tuesday Trigger: Treat Yourself!"
take a look...

Background Stamp: Market Street stamps "sweet lace", Sentiment: Hero Arts, Ink: Memento "Rich Cocoa" & VersaColor "Narcissus", Floss: Janlynn

<<< So here's the picture, looks super yummy right???
well here's what inspired me... The Colors, The layers, And the little white ruffles.

This is also for
The Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog
This weeks challenge is...anything goes (WOOP WOOP)
Thought I'd pull out all the spool-y-ness. Used floss, ribbon, and decorative lace.

"Thanks a bunch" SSD sketch 96

Hump-day is here, YEAH!!!
And I poped on to this ol' blog of mines to share a card I wiped together for SSD sketch #96.
I just got my first Skipping stones Design stamp in the mail last Friday and thought this sketch was the perfect time to get some ink on the brand spanken new crystalline!!!

Stamp: Skipping Stones Design, Ink: Stampin' Pad "Pink Passion"& VersaMagic "Pixie Dust", Sticker: SRM, Paper roll-up flower: My Little Shoebox

When I first saw this pattern stamp I knew I had to have it! and it tuned out looking good as a background stamp...Thank goodness its clear...saves a mean headache when lining up the pattern :)

Today is also a personal day of happyniess for me.
On this day 5 years ago this AWESOME kid came into my life.
He's not my oldest son or my youngest son...He's the one smacked in the middle!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON!!!
This is him with his BMX stuff...

Halloween 2009

October is here and I can't wait for Halloween
>>>my all time favorite holiday<<<
SO I'm flashing back to Halloween 2009 with this LO...

Pattern Paper: Basic Gray, Stickers: SRM, Stamp: Hero Arts, Metal frame: Making Memories, Alpha stickers: American Craft

This is a Scrapjacked, Sketchy Thursdays combo.

The sketch this week over at Sketchy Thursday is awesome! Never seen anything like it. Defiantly in the top five all time greats from Sketchy Thursdays.
And the rest of the inspiration came from this months Scrapjacked. They're jacking Kerry Lynn yeary's shabby, vintagey style. All the little details came from that photo... the tape measure, round embellies, spool of thread with a little red bow, the little boxes, etc. etc. etc.

Swimming by to say HI

I'm feeling Loopy, are you feeling loopy?
This week CAS-ual fridays challenge is a loopy one. To create with a ribbon loop and bows don't count. Sounds like fun so I went fishing in my ribbon drawer and pulled up this card....

Teal ribbon: American Craft, Other ribbon: Max Imports, floss: Janlynn, Edge Punch: EK Success, Foam Dots: American Crafts, Bling: Kaiser Craft

I was sitting on my craft desk thinking of ribbon loops and thought they looked like fishes. So POPed some eyes on these loopy guys and BAM loopy fishes...

Squiggle Sunday

It's another Squiggle Sunday here on my little blog. And I have a cute little Pirate Girl to share with all of you...

LinkPaper punch: Martha Stewart, Digi: Squiggle stamps, Sticker: SRM, markers: Copic

Isn't she awesome!?! This digi was apart of the Halloween release but I think she looks good anytime. Wanted to make it really dreamy so created a frame and tied knots for stars. The background was colored with the fat tip on the Copic maker (don't think I ever used that side before).
I hope you all had a great world card making day yesterday and a lot of family time with your loved ones this weekend.
