"Old town" San Diego

Our trip to San Diego was
AWESOME
We stayed with my high school friend and she took us on a tourist trip around San Diego.
It was fun from the skate park to the water front.
And "Old Town" was a blast. We had the best fresh hand-made tortillas ahhhh can't wait to go back. My mouth is watering already :)

This Layout for the
September guest design team spot
This LO sketch had a circle in it and I thought it would make an awesome picture collage of all the great colors and fun things we found in Old Town.

Twisted Sketch #63

It's Twisted Sketches time!!!!
The rest of the DT did an awesome job with their LOs and this weeks twist.
Sooo what is the twist this week?
Fold
any how, any way

My kids love Bon Dance and we go every year with Bachan (grandma).
There's awesome food and yes shave ice at night (we do live in Hawaii), games, music, and the best part DANCING!! My kids go nutz, it's so funny to watch :)
Dropping some knowledge:
Bon-Odori or Bon-Dance is a Japanese Buddhist tradition to honor the ancestors.
I used "fold" to make my origami paper cranes, how will you use it?
Go on over to
check out the sketch and rest of the DTs pages, and get scrapping on yours
You got week, and I can't wait to see what you do with it :)

mini zoo book

OK get ready this is one picture heavy post
Fantabulous Cricut challenge blog
has a new feature "Scrappin' Saturdays" and the first challenge was to make a animal shaped mini album. I couldn't resist :)
My kids spend a good amount of time wondering around the Honolulu Zoo this summer. We have an annual pass so we take a little lunch (usually peanut butter & jelly sandwiches) and it was a great FREE way for my kiddos to let out their wiggles.
Not to mention my oldest got a camera and must have taken 50 pictures in one trip. Now he can fill this album up!!!

I like the idea of having some place to write thoughts so made a little spot on each page to do so

Tiger

Lion
Monkey
Giraffe
Elephant

Cricut: "Zooballoo" "Opposites Attract" & "Life's a beach", Pattern Paper: sei "zoo pals", Journaling stamps: Autumn leaves, Zutter

I'm playing with dolls today :)
This Layout is for
Design Dollies
not one but two of their challenges
That right I said two

I used this weeks sketch with the element challenge
and what is the element?
"friends"
This picture was taken when we visited Aunty Maribelle in San Diego earlier this year, she's soo good with my crazy kids. I've known her and the other girls since High School (that was ten years ago), they moved up there and we all got together when I visited.

Butterfly kisses

All my kids love animals but animals don't always love them :(
So when this butterfly let them hold him they had to pose for some pictures
(it was probably half died but hay)
So here's the layout you can see what I mean about them being little "posers"
This is another great
sketch, still time to play around this week so check'um out

Butterfly: bombshell stamps, Cricut: Doodletype & Opposites Attract, Ribbon: American Crafts, Paper: Pink Paislee
