Hi everyone :)
Today I'm sharing a card that was inspired by

I love that place!!
Just being on the site makes you feel like your at a fabulous tea party, with awesome friends, eating little sandwiches :)
Ok a bit dramatic But it is an awesome blog with beautiful inspirations!
So here is my Week #5
"It's hip to be square"
Ok next time I decide it's easier and faster to hand stitch then to bust out my sewing machine and thread a Bobbin, someone PLEASE stop me!!!!
Took me like an hour to paper pierce and back stitch this border.
AHHHHHH
Used three cricut cartridges on this card:
Storybook: "Thank You"
Happily Ever After: bird
Graphically Speaking: branch
All the pattern paper is from pink paislee

Here are two Layouts made from two awesome sketches over at
Sketchy Thursdays
Here my April 04th sketch:

This is my niece Lori & my little girl Polaris (YES the one making faces is mines)

aren't they too cute :)
Wanted to just have fun with this page so I doodled for my title.
I know I'm not an artiest :(

AND
This layout is for there May guess design spot.
This sketch came with extra challenges from Heidi (sketchy thursdays co-founder):
Prompt: Celebrations (in honor of my Heidi's birthday)
Color: Green (Heidi's favorite color)

This is a picture of me and my oldest boy EA. He is the best kid ever and I love this picture of us two :) For along time it was just me and him hanging out (Since his sister and brother are 5 and 6 years younger then he is) but times now are a little more hectic so anytime it's me and him alone, it's special.

Love that boy!!!

There's a tons going on over at Sketchy Thursdays this week so stop on by there. Lots of sketches and prizes!!

Insperation from Po

This past weekend we had a slumber party and one of the movies we watched was "Alice in Wonderland". My Polaris drew this super pink, super cute, picture the next morning.
She said it's Alice walking in the flowers in wonderland.
Super cute right,
so I had to use it for the Oh Alice challenge this week
And it was a MAD challenge,
by M.A.D. I mean
Monochromatic And Distress
My little girl totally inspired this one....

Zooballoo "thanks" gift-bag

Did you all check out the revamped
You probably did, I mean she has over 3000 follower
but if you haven't cruised over there yet, go now!!
Along with the new look of the site there are some new buttons right up top linking to her products, videos, youtube, and the new pink stamper Gallery.
The Gallery is a must see. There are awesome examples from every cricut cartridge, and also in the gallery is........
ME
Ok so here is the project I made for The Pink Stamper
It's a "thanks" gift-bag made from the Zooballoo cartridge
This is actually a card cut, I just joined the ends of the card together so it formed a cylinder.
I added a plain paper bag to the inside with a little glue, a little raffia and that was about it.

And I had to add the little monkey :)

Used Copics to color the scenery
(before I glued the box together)
and added the thanks that was also from Zooballoo

This project (as I like to say) was a one cartridge wonder

"Happy anniversary" white card / Pagoda flower tutorial

OK everyone you must check-out
The Shabby Tea Room
I love the atmosphere there
sooo much inspiration.

Here's a card I made from this weeks Photo inspired challenge:

And while we’re on the subject of awesome stimulation,
Fantabulous Cricut is full of that daily dose of cricut inspiration.
They’re a new blog site that is defiantly a must see for anyone with a Cricut.
They have tips, tutorials, and of cause a weekly challenge.

This week’s challenge is
Word: Happy
Shape: Flower

The flower on my card is made from the Pagoda cartridge.
Thought about using my Prima flowers but then saw the Fantabulous Cricut challenge and said: “Why not make my own paper flower?”
So I did and I love the way it turned out.
Put together a little tutorial below. Enjoy :)

Using the “Pagoda” cartridge:
Shift Lock on
Flower 8
Cut 2 times at 2”
and
Cut 2 times at 1½”

Choose the front of your flower. It doesn’t matter which just, choose the side you like best :)
Ink all sides of the petals on the front.
Then ink the whole back of the petals.
When you’re inking it also helps to shape the flower.
Below I showed the front (on the left) & the back (right).

Next shape the flowers a little more with the ends of the petals pointed downwards, and the inside of petals shaped up.

Last thing is to glue the petals together.
Just add a small amount of glue around the circle in the middle.
Then position the flowers overlapping each other.
Add a center (I used a button) and that’s it.
A great paper flower you made yourself.

rock-star princess @ the skate park

One Layout inspired by two challenges,

Being that my family has 3 skateboarders
Our last visit to California was like a skate park tour.
We checked out a bunch of different parks but
Po and I don't mind because we always find things to do :)
like: snacks and a photo shoot
So here's an awesome skate park in San Diego, and Po just hanging out.

The color combo for SPCC this week was perfect for this photo. The colors match perfect with my baby's outfit, and then I found this paper in my stash and was like SCORE !

And of course you all know I love my Sketchy Thursdays sketches. Here's this weeks sketch :)
