I have to admit
I'm a girl of many things but class & elegance?
These are two things I could use more of

Moxie Fab Shabby chic & vintage

I'm going shabby :)
shabby chic and vintage that is.....
Some awesome paper crafters have mastered this style and I LOVE the look so I had to give it a try with some cards
"true LOVE"

Sticker: Making memories, Ribbon: American craft, Embossing folder: cuttlebug "Ornamental Iron"

"Thinking of you always"

Paper: sei, Ribbon: American Craft, Pearl stickers: Zva creative, Flower: Prima, Stamp: Hero Art

When I hear "Shabby Chic or Vintage" I think of beautiful satin or velvet ribbon, pearls, lace, and roses. Tried to put all that on these cards to give it that feel :)

So….
Are you up for the Shabby/Vintage style too?

Ea & me on his tenth birthday

My oldest baby turned ten this year
ohh how the years go by :(
Now he's a happy silly big boy who's an awesome big brother but I can still remember the calm little baby with a head full of hair (got to scrap his baby pictures one of these days).
Here we are on his tenth birthday back in February.
Acting silly as always :)

This layout was inspired by this months

"Robots are awesome"

Have you seen Paper craft magazine new special issue?
well it all about "card style"
I'm not sure what my style is so I thought I would give some a try
The first style is
"fun and cute"
My son likes to think of himself as being "awesomer"
so the inside of the card says....
But you're awesomer
Busted out my old-school label maker for this one
The stamps is from stampendous
Not sure this is my style but go check out the cute inspiration and play along too at

let's ride

This past Christmas all the kids got bikes
and they LOVED it
(dad used to fix-up bikes so it was more a gift for him)
Here they are with their first test run
This Layout is another
Sketchy Thursdays
It's time for their August guest DT member challenge
Along with the sketch we had to use the color yellow and a handmade embellishment

My Handmade embellishment is the little wire bicycle
Just twisted some craft wire and added beads as handlebars
Also
a crinkle ribbon road (crinkle ribbon is popular now but i didn't have any)
wet a piece of cardstock, squeezed it into a ball and gently unraveled it
BAM looks like crinkle ribbon :)

HELPING?

Making brownies are so tempting, you have to taste the batter.
My babies are no different
So here they are "Helping" me make mint brownies
This layout is for this weeks
There's still time to play so go check them out :)

first

All my baby girl wanted for her 5th birthday was a pet and so she got a Guinea pig.
Not my first choice but that's what she wanted
and being the girly girl my daughter is she named her
"Cutie Pie"
This picture is of that first day we got home her first pet

This LO was inspired by:
Love the inspirations they provide and this month is no different
Check them out and jackup your own project
and also for
the challenge was to use increments of 5
Here's what I used:
5 different boarder punches
5 mini tags
and of course the picture is of my daughters 5th birthday and she was born on the 5th of march

The look of love

This one is for my parents :)
Isn’t this such a cute picture? It’s my mom & dad before they went out to an art show earlier this year.

The Layout is for
Twisted Sketches
and the twist this week was RED

This one is also for
The Shabby Tea Room
Their request was for embossing
The velum flower on my page was embossed with Cuttlebug “Persia” embossing folder.

**********
Here's a little tutorial on how to make the emboss heart flowers:

Cut out four big hearts (2 1/2)and four little hearts (1 1/2) out of velum. Then emboss and ink them.

Cut the bottom of your hearts making a slit at the tip

Place tape on one side of the slit and overlap the two tips. Gently shape the top of the hearts back.

Layer the hearts over each other moving clockwise starting with the four big hearts and then going to the smaller hearts. Add a center and there you have a flower made of hearts :)

you make me smile pinwheel card

It's a shabby Saturday
and I'm playing over at

Really though it's been drizzling in the morning here in Hawaii. The kind of weather where you just want to stay in bed :) but poor me I got woken up by my boys going surfing at five in the morning. Now I'm putting in some craft time.

This weeks theme at "The Shabby Tea Room"

Is…… “Popsicles and Pinwheels”
Using the colors hot pink, bright green, & cool turquoise
It just feels like summer, doesn’t it :)

My Pinwheel is a Cricut cut from “a child’s year”
All stamps are Hero Arts
