brothers

My two boys. We went on a really long hike one day like 5 hours. We didn’t anticipate such a long trip but the kids were great and we got some awesome pictures. Here are my boys taking a little rest under a tree. They’re so cute and they really love each other a lot.

Also I got inspired by this weeks SPCC color combo. I’ve been totally MIA from SPCC and now they have just exploded. The color combos always challenge me and I like a good challenge. Check them out if you need yourself some inspiration.

White it out

Every February is whale season in Hawaii. My kids love to go and watch or more like play with the binoculars. We saw them good this year such a peaceful, awesome site to see.
Daddy took this picture of me and my baby girl. I love it, it sparks so many thoughts about me and her and what kind of relationship we'll have in the future.

Let's get going!

It’s a little retro here today :)
I haven’t ridden a bike in years, but for some time now I’ve been dreaming of a cool beach cruzer. Awe I can imagine it now.
A spoon full of sugar had a “travel” challenge. How fun, I had to make this card. I don’t know if it’s because of my daydreaming or the colors of this card, but it makes me feel happy inside.

Texture plate: Fiskars “bricks”

A wintry Hero Arts card

I’ve got inky fingers! Been working on stamped cards and neglecting my blog, so sad :( Anywhoo I’ve got a lot of sharing to do and what better way to start then with a cool little card and a neat little trick.

Here’s a card stamped all over with Hero Arts stamps. And who doesn’t love Hero Art?

Stamps: Hero Arts “Woodgrain pattern” (my absolutely favorite background stamp) &Hero Arts clear design “birds and butterflies”
Inks: Memento “Desert Sand”, VersaColor “pinecone” & “brown”, ColorBox “Dark Moss” & “white”
Copics: B000 B01 B02
Glitter: Poly Flake
Mod Podge

I love the way the snow cover ground came out. I think it gives it a wintry look. It was super easy to do here’s how:

Using your Copics
Just lay down B02 on the bottom of your paper. I used regular white cardstock and overlapped the color. Try and add more to the bottom section and gradient lighter to the top. Next blend and go upwards with B01using same technique. Usually when you blend with Copics you would make small circles but for this, just make long strokes. And then use the B000 in the same way. After I had the color down with the Copics, I use a stamp with white ink and stamped over the top.
For this one I tore the top edge, painted the tore edge with mod podge, and added glitter.

Bombshell Dream girl

If you don’t already know about uber fantastic “bombshell stamps”, then I’m dropping the bomb on you. LOL I know, I got jokes. Anyways, I’ve been a bombshell stalker for sometime now and finally got my hands on some YAH. Had to get stamping with them and thought it was a perfect match for the “Dream Girls challenge blog”. I just found this challenge blog and love what’s going on there. It’s fantastic. So here’s
Challenge 33: On the wings of love
Prompt: Wings on your project
Technique: Paint
Product: Glitter

Who's behind the doors?

Stamps: Bombshell stamps (click here to check them out)
Flocked paper: Costco pack
Martha Stewart boarder punch
Copic markers
Sakura gliter pen
I got a pack of candy bars from Costco a while back and being a hoarder I kept the box. I used it and a honey nut cheerios box for this “trinket display”. This one is going on my scrapdesk. My knick-knacks will finally have a home.

TS #9

Hi everyone :) missed you all (waving both my hands). I’ve been down on crafting and computer time but my man's back to work. I’ve been daydreaming about projects and cards this past week so I can’t wait to dive into my paper pile and play around.

I love twisted sketches. Just found this blog a little while ago but as soon as I saw what was going on there I knew I had to play along. As you know I tried last week but missed the dead line (that’s the procrastinator in me). But got it together and here it is.

This weeks sketch was to doodle on your page. So doodle I did.

Pattern paper: Disney princess
Ribbon: American Craft
Boarder Punch: Fiskars
Glitter Letters: Kurio
Pens: Sakura “Glaze” in black, “soufflé” in pink

Little PoPo painting her nails or should I say feet. What can I say, she's all girl :)
